Interior

  • At a minimum, the house should look clean and organized. Below are items that should be taken care of in the days prior to the shoot.

  • De-clutter or organize mantles, shelves and tabletops

  • Remove or minimize personal photos and memorabilia

  • Clear off counter tops in kitchen and bathroom areas

  • Remove photos, notes and papers from the refrigerator

  • Make all beds, tidy bathrooms and de-clutter showers and tubs

  • Remove piles of newspaper and magazines

  • Children’s toys should be placed in their bedroom or playroom

  • Remove or hide pet beds, toys, litter boxes and if possible cat posts

Exterior

  • Sweep porches, driveways, sidewalks and patios

  • Mow and weedeat

  • For better photos, if possible please move trailers, boats and campers away from the house.

  • Move all garden tools including hoses and sprinklers

Day of Shoot

When we schedule your shoot, we will give you an estimated time of day. On the day of the shoot we will always provide an hour’s notice before we arrive.

Within that hour we will need you to:

  • Move garbage cans out of sight

  • Turn ON all interior and exterior lights and lamps (Floodlights Off)

  • Turn ceiling fans and televisions OFF

  • Tuck trash cans out of view in a closet or cupboard

  • Contain pets in the garage or out of sight

  • Remove all vehicles from driveway in front of the house before arrival
